LDA Georgia Youth Team in Ukraine - ERASMUS+

The youth club members of LDA Georgia: Darine Saldadze and Konstantine Japaridze participated in the second phase of Erasmus+ funded project named - ,,Free speech as the bedrock of liberty" , held in Kyiv, Ukraine. The project hosted participants from Georgia, Ukraine, Malta, Spain, Lithuania, Great Britain, Denmark, Moldova, Armenia and Turkey. The aim of the project was to increase the awareness in young people about the hate speech, racism, discrimination, equality, human rights. 

 

During the week, Participants of the project gained knowledge of the preparation, processing and editing of photo-video material. Participants also engaged in simulation activities, planned and prepared interviews with locals (see video below).

The project was implemented on the basis of informal education. Participants involved in simulation activities, interactive presentations and practical seminars. They had the opportunity to directly study the situation of different vulnerable persons. Also, find out what people's perceptions of hate speech are and how they think where is the boundary between hate speech and freedom of expression.

Participants had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge on the most important and crucial issues and also to evaluate discussed topics from different perspective.
