In 2016 Local Democracy Agency Georgia has implemented the project “Participate in Governance” .

The aim of the project was to promote citizen participation in decision-making process, to introduce good practice of cooperation between NGOs and citizens, and to create interesting precedents for problem advocacy through citizen engagement;

As the result of the project,the implementation of new engagement mechanisms resulting from legislative changes has been implemented; a manual has been developed that provides all the technical details necessary for a good understanding of processes; implemented the activities aimed at informing citizens about the activities of the non-governmental sector and strengthening trust between citizens and non-governmental organizations. Citizens have been trained to advocate for their own problems and their involvement will solve all the issues that are important to the settlement.

The project is funded by the East-West Management Institute within the framework of the project ‘’Civil Society Development and Citizen Engagement’’ and is implemented by the Local Democracy Agency Georgia.
