This project was a training organized by LDA Georgia. Due to the Advisory Council’s key role in organizational issues, 13 newly-elected Council members had two days of training , to inform them of new laws in the self-government Code. They were briefed on the budget process, types of budgets, and the importance of citizen involvement in the budgeting process. Members received materials about local authorities, citizen participation mechanisms, and program budgeting.
