Gender Sensitive Socio-economic Empowerment of Vulnerable IDPs through co-funding of their Livelihood Opportunities and Promotion of their Social Mobilization

In 2017, the Local Democracy Agency Georgia implemented the project "Gender Sensitive Socio-economic Empowerment of Vulnerable IDPs through co-funding of their Livelihood Opportunities and Promotion of their Social Mobilization".

The objective of the project was to strengthen the socio-economic status of internally

displaced persons (IDPs) by dispersing small grants.

Potential beneficiaries of the small grant program were contacted individually and asked

to attend informational meetings, which were held in Kutaisi, Samtredia, Baghdati,

Vani, Terjola, Tskaltubo and Khoni Municipalities.

The project was funded by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
