Regional Tourism Forum

On 21st August, 2020, Local Democracy Agency Georgia will hold Regional Tourism Forum of Racha-Lechkhumi Lower Svaneti in the square near the tourist center, city of Ambrolauri. The aim of the forum is to promote the tourism and agro-tourism opportunities of the region.

The first part of the forum will be dedicated to panel speeches, which will discuss the perspectives of tourism development in Georgia, the main challenges after COVID 19 and the tourism potential of Racha-Lechkhumi Lower Svaneti region.

The promotional video of Racha-Lechkhumi Lower Svaneti will be shown at the regional tourism forum.

The second part of the Forum will be dedicated to the exhibition-sale of products of local entrepreneurs / farmers participating in the forum. Entrepreneurs will be selected in advance, based on received and sorted information about their activities. A separate agro-space will be prepared for the exhibition-sale, where each municipality will have its own place to exhibit products.
In addition, an ART space will be arranged, where the works of local artists will be presented. An exhibition-sale of various types of handicrafts will be organized.

Regional Tourism Forum of Racha-Lechkhumi Lower Svaneti will be organized by Local Democracy Agency Georgia (LDA Georgia) within the framework of the project “„Racha-Lechkhumi and lower Svaneti Regional Development Initiative”, which is undertaken within the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) “Fostering Regional and Local Development-Phase 2” project, with financial support from the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the Government of Georgia.
