Competition for selection of civil society and community organizations

Application for acceptance of forms

Local Democracy Agency Georgia - Imereti Regional Hub announces a competition to select civil society and community organizations in the Imereti region for their structural strengthening.

The selected organizations will be supported in the development of the organization's internal management document, structure formation, strategic planning and management of the organization.

Consortium member organizations[1] will participate in the process of supporting and strengthening the selected organizations. The project does not provide for any type of financial intervention.

The competition is announced within the framework of the project "Civil Society Initiative: Sustainable, Open and Accountable Civil Society Organizations for the Development of Georgia" with the support of the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The project is implemented by a consortium led by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) with the following NGOs: Georgian Center for Strategic Research and Development (CSRDG), Civil Society Institute (CSI), Counseling and Training Center (CTC), Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) and European Policy Institute (IEP).

The purpose of the competition

The competition aims to support the development of civil society and community organizations in the Imereti region, especially newly established organizations.

Target group

The following can participate in the competition:

• Civil society and community organizations operating in Imereti region;

• Preference will be given to newly established civil society and community organizations in the Imereti region that need development support.

 

Documents to be submitted

• Application form; (Appendix 1)

• Own vision, which reflects the following directions: a) Assessment of the current state of civil society in the respective municipality (opportunities and challenges); B) suggestions on tangible goals that can be achieved by the organization within the next 2 years; C) Represent the role of the regional hub in the process of achieving the set goals.

• Document confirming the registration in the register of non-profit (non-commercial) legal entities of the organization - extract;

Based on the evaluation of the submitted documentation, the organization will conduct individual interviews with representatives of the organization.

 

Selection criteria

The decision is made taking into account the following criteria:

Vision • 0-5 points *

 

* 0 - not given 1- very weak, unsatisfactory 2 - weak, 3 - satisfactory; 4 - is strong; 5 - Very strong. In total, the applicant organization must receive a minimum of 8 points

Local Democracy Agency Georgia reserves the right not to select any organization and re-announce the competition.
