Within the framework of the project Imereti Regional HUB held 2 large-scale forum in Kutaisi:

On June 22, 2018 a volunteer forum was hosted at Akaki Tsereteli State University. The forum connected those who were interested in volunteer opportunities with those who were looking for volunteers.

40 organizations participated in the forum, including local NGOs, local government, businesses, and media outlets.

The initiative was aimed at improving the civil society environment in Georgia, strengthening civil society organizations, and increasing their accountability to citizens by strengthening other actors.

Local Democracy Agency Georgia held a Regional Civil Society Forum in Kutaisi on April 12, 2019 . The main goal of the forum was to attract donors and potential financiers and strengthen civil society in the Imereti region.

The forum consisted of several parts:

  • Panel discussion about the needs and challenges facing civil society in Georgia;
  • Communication between donors and organizations using the "Regional Cafe" method;
  • A presentation/exhibition of the Imereti Region's civil society organizations' (CSOs, CBOs) activities. The event was also promoted the culture of volunteerism by connecting volunteer service recipients with people interested in volunteering; and, it was popularized the Time Bank service.
  • Local NGOs, media, donor organizations, self-governments and youth (students) were invited to the forum.
  • The forum was attended by 411 people.
