his weekend, as part of the “Empowerpreneurship Program”, our participants had an inspiring visit to Baia's Winery in Baghdati, a women-empowered family business. Baia's journey began in 2015 with a modest 5000 GEL grant to purchase a used wine bottling machine, and has since blossomed into a globally recognized brand, exporting organic Imeretian wine all over the world from the US to South Korea.
During the visit, we gained valuable insights into the daily operations of the winery and the challenges faced by businesses in the area. This experience provided a powerful example of how a small grant and an entrepreneurial spirit can transform a family business into an international success story.
We're excited to continue connecting our youth with inspiring entrepreneurs in the community through the Empowerpreneurship Program, funded by Peace Corps Georgia.
