Public meeting was convened on May 31, during which previously-formed initiative groups presented on the youth program ideas they had developed based on the needs of youth.
The members of these initiative groups engaged in conversations with the audience on topics such as career guidance, digital literacy, skills development for emerging digital professions, and youth volunteer initiatives to support the city’s tourism sector.
During the meeting, the audience was able to raise their questions and shared their viewpoints on these ideas. Their input will be duly considered as the initiative groups finalize their program drafts.
This meeting was organized as part of the "Voice of Youth in Local Self-Government" project, which is being carried out through the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Local Self-Government Program. The main goal of this project is to increase participation of young individuals in decision-making processes at the local level. The initiative groups will collaborate with the youth advisory council to introduce their proposed budget programs to the municipality.
