Informational Meetings in Adjara on the Law of Georgia on Public Service

The Local Democracy Agency of Georgia held informational meetings in Adjara on the Law of Georgia on Public Service.
In total, 3 meetings were held for public servants, students and NGOs employed in Khelvachauri municipality.
At the end of the meetings, a discussion was held where the participants discussed both the pros and cons of the new law and the implications for its implementation.

The Law of Georgia on Public Service was adopted on October 27, 2015, which will enter into force on July 1, 2017. The Law on Public Service establishes a professional public service based on career advancement and merit.

The informational meeting was supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), with the financial support of the UK aid to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland within the framework of the SIDA project Civil Society Reform Support to Georgia.

The project is implemented in cooperation with the Government of Georgia and the Civil Service Bureau.
The project is co-funded by the European Union within the framework of the project - "organizational development" By Sida.

Informational meetings in the regions are organized by members of the Civil Society Regional Network (R-CSN). ,
The Regional Civil Society Network brings together 64 organizations working in the regions. The network is facilitated by the NGO Sida.
