Local Democracy Agency Georgia held an information meeting on the Law of Georgia on Civil Service for the employees of Zestaponi Municipality Sakrebulo and the Board of Trustees. At the end of the meeting, a discussion was held where the participants discussed both the advantages and challenges of the new law, which will be implemented in its practice.

We would like to remind you that on October 27, 2015, the Law of Georgia on Civil Service was adopted, which will enter into force on July 1, 2017. The Law on Civil Service establishes a professional public service based on career advancement and merit.
The briefing was organized with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and with the financial support of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, UK aid, in the framework of the CIDA project "Support to Civil Service Reform in Georgia by Civil Society".
