Increasing the Quality of Citizen Involvement in Local Self-Government

Local Democracy Agency Georgia (LDA Georgia) is implementing the project "Increasing the Quality of Citizen Involvement in Local Self-Government" in eleven (11) municipalities of Imereti region (Baghdati, Zestaponi, Samtredia, Vani, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Sachkhere, Chiatura, Kharagauli, Terjola, Tkibuli).

Within the framework of the project, an initiative group of citizens has created in Terjola and Tkibuli municipalities, which unites representatives of different groups of the society.

The aim of the initiative group is to create a resource at the local level that will support citizen engagement and advocacy campaigns at the local government level.

The project is being implemented with the support of ’’the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Georgia’’
