LDA Georgia held the Entrepreneurship-Investment Regional Forum on June 18, 2021 in the city of Oni. The aim of the forum was to promote the development of entrepreneurship and investment opportunities in the region.
The first panel discussion was focused on presenting investment opportunities and specific projects in all four municipalities of the region, as well as reviewing ongoing and planned large-scale projects in the region, which will significantly increase the attractiveness of the region to potential investors.
The second panel was held on topical and important issues such as the challenges facing entrepreneurs living in the region and the presentation of visions, current programs and new funding opportunities of the Government of Georgia, relevant agencies and state agencies (Enterprise Georgia, RDA).
The second part of the forum was dedicated to the exhibition-sale of products of local entrepreneurs / farmers participating in the forum.
Separate pavilions was prepared for the exhibition-sale, where each entrepreneur had his own space to place products. Apart from this, an ART space was arranged, where the works of local artists was presented, various types of handicrafts was exhibited.
In addition, a promoting video clip of the region was shown for the promotion of tourism in the municipality and the region in general.
Representatives of embassies: Austria – H.E. Thomas Muehlmann, Germany – H.E. Hubert Knirsch, Norway – Deputy Head of Mission Marko Soldic, Poland – H.E. Mariusz Maszkiewiez, South Korea – Consul Ko Ok Sok, Brazil – Minister-Counsellor Leonardo Lott Rodrigues, and persons responsible for economic directions, representatives of central government, administration of the State Representative of Racha-Lechkhumi and Lower Svaneti, Majoritarian MP Bureau, representatives of all four municipalities, representatives of local non-governmental organizations, regional non-governmental organizations, donor organizations, region residents, youth, entrepreneurs, farmers, business and media representatives were attended the forum.
The forum was implemented by LDA Georgia, „Racha Sustainable Development Association“ and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) within the framework of the ongoing “Fostering Regional and Local Development-Phase 2” project, with support from the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure (MRDI)
