The executive director of Local Democracy Agency Georgia (LDA Georgia), Nino Khukhua, together with the general secretary of ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy, Antonella Valmorbida, participated in the conference - "The role of municipalities in the implementation of the European Neighborhood Policy".

The first session was dedicated to discussing the role of municipalities in good governance and sharing the experiences of the "CORLEAP" member countries in this direction.

In the second part of the meeting, attention was focused on the role of municipalities in territorial development. The integrated regional development program was also presented at the conference.

The conference was held with the support of the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia and Batumi Municipality City Hall.
