"Voice of the Youth in Local Self-Government"

Local Democracy Agency Georgia recently conducted information sessions at Kutaisi University and Akaki Tsereteli State University, engaging a vibrant group of students and other young people. These meetings spotlighted the "Voice of the Youth in Local Self-Government" project, delving into its objectives, activities, and how to actively participate. A key focus was on the formation of youth initiative groups, sparking a strong interest among attendees, a majority of whom eagerly signed up on the spot.

During the meeting, the chairman of the Kutaisi Youth Advisory Council also made the presentation providing insights into the council's operations and the importance of youth initiatives.

Participants highlighted the critical role of youth in decision-making processes and emphasized the needs of youth they would prioritize as members of the initiative groups.

The "Voice of Youth in Local Self-Government" project is implemented with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and aims to bolster youth participation in local governance.
