LDA Georgia has trained the members of the Civic Advisory Councils within the framework of the grant „Racha-Lechkhumi and lower Svaneti Regional Development Initiative” in Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri and Lentekhi municipalities.

The training was about the following issues:

• The meaning and importance of citizen participation mechanisms;
• Legal regulation of the activities of the Council;
• Sharing hands-on experience.

The grant „Racha-Lechkhumi and lower Svaneti Regional Development Initiative” has being implemented by LDA Georgia within the framework of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) “Fostering Regional and Local Development-Phase 2” project, with financial support from the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and Government of Georgia.
